While browsing through Maw Books Blog's latest posts, I came across her post on the Book Wish Foundation. Click on the link to find out more about their mission to provide reading relief for people in crisis. Check out their About Us page too.
They also have this Holiday Campaign: Donate $1 Per Book You Received. If you want, you can donate $1 for every book that you received as presents for Christmas or for any other celebration this year. To read more about it, go here. You can choose one of the four options given on how you prefer your donation to be put to use.
By donating, you are doing your part in providing reading materials for the Darfur refugees in Chad. Think about it. Someone was nice enough to give you a book as a present. Now it's your turn to give something to those who really need it. What goes around comes around.
I've already donated. I hope they get to read lots of wonderful books!
