Free e-book: Four Corners of the Sky

Get a free e-book of The Four Corners of the Sky by Michael Malone on the web (Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Apple, Sony, Kobo or
Books-A-Million) for this weekend only.

Book summary:

In small towns between the North Carolina Piedmont and the coast the best scenery is often in the sky. On flat sweeps of red clay and scrub pine the days move monotonously, safely, but above, in the blink of an eye, dangerous clouds can boil out of all four corners of the sky...The flat slow land starts to shiver and anything can happen.

In such a storm, on Annie Peregrine's seventh birthday, her father gave her the airplane and minutes later drove out of her life. Thus begins an enchanting novel that bursts with energy from the first pages, and sweeps you off on a journey of unforgettable characters, hilarious encounters, and haunting secrets.

The Four Corners of the Sky is master storyteller Michael Malone's novel of love, secrets, and the mysterious bonds of families. Malone brings characters to life as only he can, exploring the questions that defy easy answers: Is love a choice or a calling? Why do the ties of family bind so tightly? And is forgiveness a gift to others...or a gift we give ourselves?

Don't miss these free e-books!

First, I'd like to wish Happy Chinese New Year to those who are celebrating it. Gong Xi Fa Cai! :)

Also, you get to download these e-books for FREE today and tomorrow (Sunday):

1. Lydia Bennet’s Story by Jane Odiwe
2. Love at First Flight by Marie Force
3. The Greatest Knight by Elizabeth Chadwick
4. Dreaming Anastasia by Joy Preble

For more information, visit Sourcebooks' eBook deals page. Or if you have a Kindle, just search for Kindle Editions of the above titles on Amazon.com.

I was so excited to see Dreaming Anastasia among the titles! It was one of those books that I really wanted but didn't want to spend money buying it yet. And whadaya know, I got it for free today. Ah, definitely a good day. :)

Free Jane Austen e-books

Google's Doodle in honour of Jane Austen's birthday

It was Jane Austen's 235th birthday yesterday, Dec 16. How did you celebrate it? On my part, I went to the Amazon Kindle Store and downloaded 16 free e-books either by Jane Austen or inspired by her books. You can still download them for free today, Dec 17!

The amazing Sourcebooks has decided to provide these titles for free in conjunction with Jane's birthday. Here are the titles:

Special e-book editions of Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Sense and Sensibility, Northanger Abbey, Persuasion and Mansfield Park.

Eliza’s Daughter by Joan Aiken
The Darcys & the Bingleys by Marsha Altman
Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife by Linda Berdoll
What Would Jane Austen Do? by Laurie Brown
The Pemberley Chronicles by Rebecca Ann Collins
The Other Mr. Darcy by Monica Fairview
Mr. Darcy’s Diary by Amanda Grange
Mr. & Mrs. Fitzwilliam Darcy: Two Shall Become One by Sharon Lathan
Lydia Bennet’s Story by Jane Odiwe
Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy by Abigail Reynolds

There was some confusion yesterday (Dec 16) like the books still had prices on Amazon even though they were supposed to be free for a day, so I was hesitant about downloading them.

But it had been sorted out when I checked this morning. Go ahead and download them today wherever e-books are sold. Enjoy!
